Ragab Farms was founded in 1996 by the Ragab family when Mr. Mohamed Ragab Sr. acquired 1600 acres (650 hectares) of reclaimed desert land and started its development into a modern farm. Today the company is a leading Egyptian grower and exporter of premium quality agricultural products and one of Ragab Group's successful organizations that also include Green Plaza Shopping Center and Hilton hotel, Riada Language Schools and Pharos University in Alexandria.
The farm is ideally located in Nobaria area, 9 km away from Egypt's main highway, the Cairo-Alexandria desert road, and 80 km from Alexandria, the Mediterranean sea-port. In addition to the main farm, Ragab Farms owns and manages three other farms in Beheira, Alexandria, and in Kafr El Sheikh.
The company has more than 300 employees and blends local competence with global expertise through the continuous guidance of international consultants. Experts from South Africa and Europe visit the farm continuously to maintain operations at international standards and transfer the most advanced knowledge in agriculture and horticulture.
